Church Planting Residency
For men who aspire to church planting or revitalization, the residency is designed to help equip, assess, and affirm the resident within the context of the local church.
Duration: Each phase lasts a minimum of 12 months. Each subsequent phase is contingent upon successful the completion of previous phase.
Phase 1: Assessment & Affirmation (including installation as an elder at RFC)
Phase 2: Gathering of Core Team and Fundraising
Phase 3: Launching as a Church Plant of RFC
The residents will engage in many learning opportunities including discipleship with the pastoral staff, while engaging in a fast-paced, robust program of study intended to complement all aspects of the residency. During Phase 1, residents will have weekly assignments of reading, writing, and other papers.

In addition to the focused discussion on the reading and writing, each week residents will participate in the staff life of the church including: prayer meetings, liturgy preparation, sermon text preparation, service review, staff meeting, and meetings with members. Additionally, residents will attend elder meetings, membership interviews, and participate in the Sunday service, including preaching at least five times per year.
